Important Update: HMRC Extends CDS Deadline for Exporters

CDS deadline extended

Also published on Medium.

After consulting with the border industry, the HMRC has decided to extend the deadline for the move to CDS for exporters. The new deadline is 30.11.2023, rather than 31.03.2023 as announced previously.

The 8-month HMRC extension would allow the government to work closely with software providers like Expordite and ensure that the CDS is functioning as intended. It would also allow the exporters more time to get ready for the move from CHIEF to CDS and ensure their relevant departments know how to use it.

We at Expordite have been working hard to make sure our clients’ experience with CDS is seamless, and will continue to do so throughout the transition and after the new deadline.
